In the report entitled: Recession, Recovery and the Future Evolution of the Labour Market, the Chamber cautioned that an aging population and Canada’s low birth rate will exert significant strains on Canada’s labour market in the coming decades. Simply put, going forward we will have too few workers to meet the needs of the Canadian economy and society.
